Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms of Service govern your use of the SnapToBuildmobile app (the “App”), offered by Oliver Strebel-Mark (“we”, “us”). By using the App, you agree to these terms.

The terms of service of the App Store (Apple App Store) through which you downloaded the App also apply.

2. Service Description

SnapToBuild is an AI-powered app for analyzing DIY projects from photos. The App allows users to:

• Upload photos of DIY, craft, or building projects
• Receive automated AI-powered project analysis (materials, tools, steps, difficulty level)
• Edit analysis results and save them to a personal library
• Export shopping lists and instructions from the app (e.g., via email or the system share sheet)

The AI analysis is based on image recognition technology and provides estimates. Exact measurements, complete materials lists, or professional advice cannot be guaranteed.

3. User Account

The App can be used anonymously without registration. You may optionally sign in with Apple ID or Google to back up your projects and access them across multiple devices.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Please notify us immediately at support@snaptobuild.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Free and Premium Usage

SnapToBuild offers a freemium model:

The 3 free analyses are a one-time total allowance and do not reset monthly. After using all 3 analyses, a premium subscription is required.

Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Billing occurs automatically at the end of each subscription period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before expiry.

5. Usage Rights

Your photos: You retain all rights to the photos you upload to the App. You grant us a limited license to store and process your photos for the purpose of using the App (AI analysis, display within the App).

AI-generated content: The AI-generated analysis results (materials, steps, descriptions) may be freely used by you — for example, for personal projects, your own notes, or social media posts you create yourself.

Prohibited use: You may not use the App for illegal purposes, to distribute harmful content, or to circumvent technical security measures.

6. Availability

We strive to keep the App continuously available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, technical disruptions, or outages of third-party services (Google Cloud, OpenAI) may cause interruptions.

We reserve the right to modify, restrict, or discontinue the App or individual features at any time.

7. Limitation of Liability

AI results: Analysis results generated by SnapToBuild are automated estimates based on image recognition technology. They do not constitute professional technical or safety advice. We assume no liability for:

• Inaccurate or incomplete materials lists or step-by-step instructions
• Damages arising from implementing AI-generated instructions
• Incorrect measurements or estimates

General liability: Our liability for ordinary negligence is excluded except where essential contractual obligations are violated or in cases of injury to life, body, or health.

User responsibility: You are fully responsible for the practical implementation of projects and must comply with all applicable safety regulations.

8. Cancellation and Subscription Management

You can cancel your premium subscription at any time through the App Store subscription management:

• iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > SnapToBuild

After cancellation, the premium subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. Amounts already paid will not be refunded unless required by law.

You can delete your account and all data in the App at any time under Settings > Delete Account.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service as needed. We will notify you in the App of significant changes. Continued use of the App after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

The current version of the Terms of Service is always available at snaptobuild.app/en/terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For merchants and businesses, the place of jurisdiction is the registered address of Oliver Strebel-Mark. For consumers, the law of the consumer's place of residence applies to the extent required by mandatory consumer protection provisions.
